Courses

Analytic component of Business Intelligence, especially real world deployment of BI. Course study includes SAP's ERP application including reporting, monitoring, querying, dashboarding, in-memory analytics, Big Data, and predictive analytics. In addition, the Business Intelligence Lifecycle and Architecture will be introduced through the BI Development Phases and an Introduction to Data Warehousing.

Theories and technological applications in customer relationship management. This course highlights the strategic and tactical aspects of customer management and stresses customer value for marketing decisions. Students will develop an understanding of effective CRM strategies and implementations, customer analytics, and data mining through a series of discussions, cases, projects, and exams. Students will obtain hands-on experience in sales, marketing, and service management using current CRM applications.

Students will gain experience in designing & evaluating information visualizations, especially dashboards, storytelling & other forms of visual presentation.

Project selection, financial and non-financial methodologies, and computerized project management tools for the evaluation and selection of a project. The roles of project managers in planning, scheduling, and controlling of the projects, including determination of appropriate project teams, resource allocation, budgeting and cost estimation are among topics in this course.

Dr. Yuzhu (Julia) Li is a professor at Department of Decision and Information Sciences, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her research interests center around behavioral project and program management, innovative technologies, and digital learning. Her work has appeared in journals, such as Information and Management, International Journal of Project Management, Industrial Management & Data Systems, Information Technology & People, and Journal of Systems and Software, and others.
