FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

【REGISTRATION】

Q1. Is registration required for each accepted paper?
A: Yes. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference in order for the paper to be included in the proceedings. If the same author has two papers, they must register twice, or a co-author must register the second paper. This rule applies to all additional papers.

Q2. What is the registration deadline for authors?
A: Authors must complete registration by May 10, 2026. All registration deadlines are based on Taiwan Time Zone (UTC+8).

Q3. Will the conference be held in person?
A: Yes. ICSSI 2026 will be held in person, and all presentations can be delivered onsite.

Q4. What is included in the author registration fee?
A: Author tickets (General, S3TW Academics Member, and Student) include: conference badge, electronic conference proceedings, refreshment breaks, welcome reception and gala dinner.

Q5. What is included in the participant registration fee?
A: The participant ticket includes: Conference badge, Refreshment breaks and Welcome reception.

(Conference proceedings and gala dinner are not included.)

Q6. Does the author registration fee include the gala dinner?
A: Yes. The author registration fee includes the gala dinner. Authors are required to confirm their attendance in advance for seating and catering arrangements.

Q7. Can the gala dinner be refunded or transferred if an author does not attend?
A: No. The gala dinner is a fixed component of the author registration fee and is non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of attendance.

Q8. Do author or non-author registration fees include Social Event?
A: No. Registration fees for both authors and non-authors do not include Social Event. Social Event require separate registration and additional payment.

Q9. May I bring a guest to the gala dinner?
A: Yes. You may purchase guest dinner tickets for companions. Advance online registration and payment are required.

*Please note: Guest dinner tickets do not include access to sessions or Social Event.

Q10. Is cash accepted for onsite registration?
A: No. Only credit cards are accepted for onsite registration. Cash payments are not allowed.

Q11. Can authors receive a refund after May 15, 2026?
A: No. After May 15, 2026, papers will be forwarded to the publisher for inclusion in the proceedings, and no refunds will be issued for author registrations.

 

【SUBMISSION】

Q1. How many stages are there in the ICSSI paper submission process?
A: The ICSSI submission process consists of two stages:

     (1) Review stage: submission of a Full Paper or a Long Abstract for review
     (2) Final stage: submission of a Camera-Ready Paper after acceptance.
     Different official templates are required for each stage.

Q2. What types of manuscripts can authors submit for initial review?
A: Authors may submit either of the following for initial review:

     (1) Full Paper
     (2) Long Abstract
     Both submission types are subject to the review process.

Q3. What is a Long Abstract?
A: A Long Abstract is an extended summary designed for: ongoing research, innovative research ideas, practical or case-based studies. It provides a flexible platform to present core research concepts, methodology, and preliminary findings, and to receive professional feedback from the international research community.

Q4. Which paper should authors submit for the initial review?
A: Authors should first prepare and submit a Full Paper or Long Abstract for peer review, presenting completed research work.

Q5. Is there a page limit for Full Papers?
A: Yes. A Full Paper must not exceed 10 pages, including text, figures, tables, and references, and must follow the specified formatting guidelines.

Q6. Should author names and affiliations be included in the review paper?
A: No. For both Full Papers and Long Abstracts, author names and affiliations must be omitted in the review submission to ensure a blind review process.

Q7. What should authors do after their paper is accepted?
A: Once a paper is accepted, authors must prepare and submit a Camera-Ready Paper following the specified format for final submission.

Q8. Will ICSSI publish or share the full text of submitted papers?
A: No. ICSSI publishes and archives abstracts only. The full paper is used solely for the peer-review process and final author records. Full-text papers will not be published, distributed, or shared with conference participants or any third parties.
