From the Airport

Participants arriving in Taiwan may travel to National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) from either Taichung Ching Chuan Kang Airport or Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Please refer to the following transportation options and allow extra travel time during peak hours.

From Taichung Ching Chuan Kang Airport to NCHU

Taichung Ching Chuan Kang Airport is the nearest airport to National Chung Hsing University. Participants may take a taxi directly to NCHU or transfer via THSR Taichung Station or Taichung Railway Station.

• Option 1: By Taxi
Taxi: About a 30–40 minute ride to National Chung Hsing University.

• Option 2: Via THSR Taichung Station
(1) By taxi to THSR Taichung Station
Take a taxi from Taichung Ching Chuan Kang Airport to THSR Taichung Station. The ride takes approximately 30–40 minutes. From THSR Taichung Station, take a taxi or local transportation to National Chung Hsing University, which takes approximately 20–30 minutes.

(2) By bus to THSR Taichung Station
Take Bus No. 158 for about 40–45 minutes to THSR Taichung Station. Then transfer to Bus No. 33 and ride for about 50–60 minutes. Get off at National Chung Hsing University (Xingda Road).

• Option 3: Via Taichung Railway Station
(1) By bus to Taichung Railway Station
Take Bus No. 9 or Bus No. 115 to Taichung Railway Station. The ride takes approximately 1 hour. From Taichung Railway Station, transfer to Bus No. 73, No. 33, or No. 35 to National Chung Hsing University (Xingda Road). The ride from Taichung Railway Station to NCHU takes approximately 15 minutes.

(2) Via Shalu Railway Station
Take a taxi for about 15 minutes from Taichung Ching Chuan Kang Airport to Shalu Railway Station. Then take a local train to Taichung Railway Station, which takes approximately 35–50 minutes. From Taichung Railway Station, participants may take a taxi to NCHU for about 10–15 minutes, or take Bus No. 73, No. 33, or No. 35 for about 15 minutes to National Chung Hsing University (Xingda Road).

From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to NCHU

Participants arriving at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport may travel to Taichung by taxi, Taiwan High Speed Rail, Taiwan Railways, or intercity bus. For most international participants, THSR or intercity bus is recommended.

• Option 1: By Taxi
Taxi: About a 100–110 minute ride to National Chung Hsing University.

• Option 2: By THSR
Take the airport shuttle bus or Taoyuan Airport MRT to THSR Taoyuan Station. Then take the Taiwan High Speed Rail to THSR Taichung Station. The THSR ride from Taoyuan to Taichung takes approximately 40 minutes.
After arriving at THSR Taichung Station, proceed to Exit 6 and take Bus No. 158 operated by Quanhang Bus. The ride from THSR Taichung Station to National Chung Hsing University takes approximately 50 minutes.

• Option 3: By Intercity Bus
Take Bus No. 1623 from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Taichung Railway Station. The ride takes approximately 2–2.5 hours. Bus ticket counters are located in the arrival halls of Terminals 1 and 2.
After arriving at Taichung Railway Station, participants may take a taxi to National Chung Hsing University for about 10–15 minutes, or take Bus No. 73, No. 33, or No. 35 for about 15 minutes to National Chung Hsing University (Xingda Road).

• Option 4: Via Taichung Railway Station
Participants may take Bus No. 1623 from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Taichung Railway Station. Alternatively, participants may take a taxi from the airport to Taichung Railway Station, which takes approximately 100–110 minutes.
From Taichung Railway Station, participants may take a taxi to National Chung Hsing University for about 10–15 minutes, or take Bus No. 73, No. 33, or No. 35 for about 15 minutes to National Chung Hsing University (Xingda Road).
